The Jewish people are in mourning.

We are shocked by the horrors unfolding, and we know that the long-term needs will be incalculable.

We are working around the clock with trusted partners on the ground to make sure the support needed is delivered directly to where it is needed: financial support for those whose homes have been destroyed, trauma relief for those families who have witnessed unspeakable atrocities, and we are now providing protective equipment for communities in the North in anticipation of further attacks from Hezbollah.

However, we are getting in new requests the length and breadth of Israel every hour.

Thank you to those who have already given.

We are pushing money to Israel as it comes in, but to meet the most vital of these calls for help, we need to raise £1 million before Shabbat.

So where will your support go?

Southern communities under attack

Families whose homes have been hit by Hamas rockets need funds for shelter and sustenance. These are getting to them within hours.

Parents are calling out for even the most basic needs: foods, soap, toys are more. These are being delivered right now.

We know that trauma victims need to be treated immediately to prevent the shock and grief becoming long-term, unmanageable PTSD. Sessions with trained emergency therapists are being made available right now.

But all of this is stretching our resources.

Preparing for a Hezbollah onslaught

Local workers are without basic protection gear. We need to buy helmets and flak jackets today.

Response workers need long-lasting communication equipment. We must purchase these devices immediately.

If power lines are cut, only generators can ensure that medical staff can treat the wounded and move the dead. These are expensive, and we need your help to get them now.

Lone soldiers need to know that we are praying for them

Israel’s brave lone soldiers, who leave their homes and families to give their lives to Israel, are experiencing horrors that are unimaginable and are not being reporting in news broadcasts.

They require trauma support in their native languages, including English, Ukrainian, Spanish and more. But ensuring that the right emergency trauma specialists, speaking the right languages, get to where they’re needed takes time and resources.

Without this Israel will face a psychological crisis of unprecedented proportions.

UJIA is in this for the long-term, and we will continue to support Israel when the war is won and rebuilding begins.
