Ladies Night 2018
UJIA Women’s Division celebrated its second major event of the year on Monday with the flagship Ladies Night event at Grosvenor House, raising £154,000 for a women’s social enterprise in Israel. Co-Chair Pippa Collins welcomed the 250 guests, emphasising, “Tonight is all about Jewish women’s philanthropy, and how we can come together to influence the future.”
Ally Rubin, who co-chaired the event committee, relayed their experience visiting the UJIA-supported Carmiel Children’s Village in Israel, which was a beneficiary of last year’s Ladies Night: “We were humbled by the parents who give up their everyday lives to move into the village with their own children and foster other children in need. What these people do puts everything into perspective, these people are beyond inspiring.”
This year, money raised will go towards supporting 22 women at the Al Sanabel social impact initiative in northern Israel, enabling them to provide 3,100 meals per day for underprivileged schoolchildren.
Guests were entertained by renowned Israeli mentalist Marom Mor, and house band for Tonight At The London Palladium, The Juke Joints.
UJIA Ladies Night partnered with The Social Kitchen.
