Liz Taylor & The Little Black Book of Party Secrets
On Thursday 18 May, over 70 people gathered at the Mansion, Roundhay Park, to hear from Liz Taylor, Managing Director of leading UK events company Taylor Lynn Corporation, at the UJIA Liz Taylor & The Little Black Book of Party Secrets event.
Liz is known for her hit Channel 4 show The Millionaire Party Planner, which won the National Reality Television Award for Best Business Show. She spoke to guests about her rise to fame, and told them her stories of events she has planned, and celebrities she has met.
Following a drinks reception, Alexa Harris, North East Regional Manager at UJIA, spoke about the work UJIA is doing in the UK, and at Carmiel Children’s Village in Israel.
During the Q&A, guests were surprised to find Liz challenge a waiter to sing, who had asked how he could get a big break for his singing. On cue, he broke into an operatic song, followed by a rendition of classic, “That’s Amore”, and within moments, the audience were swaying, holding hands and signing along. Little did the audience know, Liz already knew that said waiter was a professional singer, and the whole thing was planned.
The event raised over £2500 for vital programmes in Israel and the UK.
