UJIA and UJS University Information Evening
Sixthformers take part in Uni prep Question Time
One hundred and thirty Sixthformers and parents came to the UJIA and UJS University Information Evening, held at JW3 on Tuesday night, to help prepare students for all aspects of Jewish life on campus.
Attendees had the opportunity to put questions to a panel made up of representatives of UJS, CST and Jewish Chaplaincy, and also heard from J-soc reps from Bristol, Middlesex, and Birmingham, as well as other organisations on campus.
Topics ranged from kosher living, exam and class clashes with Shabbat and festivals, the chances of getting Jewish accommodation, and how to choose the uni J-soc that suits you most.
The panel, chaired by UJIA’s Anthony Ashworth-Steen, comprised UJS President Hannah Brady, Lindsay Davidson from UJS, Jonny Newton from CST, and Suzy Richman from Chaplaincy.
Following the question and answer session, students and their families had the chance to mingle with current students, at a fair with stalls from Jeneration, Tribe, UCL Jewish Studies faculty, Genesis and Chabad.
