Yeshivot and Seminaries

Choosing to spend time in Israel engaged in learning is a popular choice for students from a wide range of backgrounds who want to combine the religious, intellectual and fun elements of an extended period of time in Israel. It is also a great opportunity to develop independence, an open mind and an informed outlook on what it means to be a Torah Jew in the modern world. Participants on yeshiva and seminary programmes come back with a renewed commitment to their learning, a greater love of Israel and a willingness to share this with their families and communities when they return.

Many yeshivot and seminaries are Masa-approved and therefore enable you to apply for a Masa subsidy. For a list of Masa-affiliated institutions visit www.masaisrael.org/jewishstudies, or contact Stacey Abendstern on 020 7424 6454 or 07827 441 422 or at stacey.abendstern@ujia.org Alternatively, add ‘Stacey Masa’ on Facebook for more Masa opportunities and further information on the programmes.

"I wanted to explore my personal connection with Israel. It’s made all the difference to experience Israel actually living here rather than just as a tourist."
