Tel-Hai College significantly contributes to the quality of life in northern Israel, attracting and retaining new residents to the area and serving as a powerful catalyst for economic and community development.
Located near Kiryat Shmona, the College has established itself as a centre of excellence for biotechnology, social and computer sciences, as well as becoming the largest employer in the Upper Galil.
United Jewish Israel Appeal (UJIA) funds scholarships at the college for young people who are unable to support themselves financially, and also supports the Centre for Learning Disabled. This help enables young people to access further education and realise their potential, regardless of financial status.
The development of Tel-Hai College has strongly promoted economic and community regeneration by retaining a skilled workforce in the Galil and encouraging migration of talented students from central Israel. Tel-Hai also creates a model for communal harmony, by welcoming students from Israel’s Jewish, Arab, Druze and Circassian communities.
