UJIA promotes a society lottery to raise funds to support the work of UJIA.

Each lottery is promoted by UJIA.

UJIA raffle/lottery terms and conditions

Thank you for supporting UJIA. By purchasing a ticket for the “Eat, Pray, Love” raffle you are supporting the work of UJIA.

These terms and conditions refer to your online entry.

1. You may purchase more than one ticket. Payment to enter the raffle must be made in advance of Friday 20^th June 2025.
2. No tickets can be sold to, on behalf of, or for a person under the age of 18 years. The Promoter reserves the right to carry out age verification checks.
3. If a ticket is sold unknowingly to, on behalf of, or for a person under the age of 18 they will be exempt from the raffle/lottery and will forfeit their prize and the stake will be returned.
4. The UJIA raffle/lottery is open to all UK residents aged 18 years and over, except employees of UJIA who are directly involved with the raffle/lottery, their agencies and other companies directly involved in the running of the raffle.
5. Refunds for payment of raffle/lottery tickets will be given if a person under the age of 18 took part in the raffle/lottery.
6. Online or telephone payments for raffle/lottery tickets by credit or debit card are permitted.
7. The Promoter may run various raffles/lotteries draws each year.
8. Monies raised by this raffle/lottery will support the activities of UJIA.
9. Participation in the raffle/lottery may be made by phone, or through this website with payment by debit or credit card, where entrants will be notified by email of their ticket numbers.
10. Raffle/lottery tickets will be entered into the draw only when the whole payment is received.
11. The Promoter cannot accept charity or other vouchers for raffle/lottery entries and any Charity voucher payments made will instead be treated as donations and not raffle entries.
12. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for raffle/lottery tickets which are lost, damaged, illegible or from which the prize winner cannot be identified, or for any technical failure or event which may cause the competition to be disrupted or corrupted.
13. Any ticket entries received after the closing date may miss entry into the draw and therefore will be considered as a donation to UJIA.
14. The raffle will be drawn on Friday 20th June 2025. A combination of a random number generator and random selection of paper tickets is used to select raffle/lottery prize winners.
15. Prizes will be allocated in order of the tickets being drawn from the first prize down to the last one. The result of the raffle/lottery draw is final. No correspondence will be entered into. There are no alternatives to any prize offered. Please keep the ticket or allocated number as proof of purchase.
16. Winners will be notified by email/phone call within 2 working days.
17. Where the Promoter is unable to contact a prize winner so that a prize remains unclaimed for one month following the Promoter’s first attempt to notify the prize winner, the Promoter may apply the prize as it sees fit, including re-offering the prize in future raffles or lotteries.
18. All winners are required to co-operate with the Promoter’s right to publish their win as and when deemed appropriate, and to provide proof of age when requested.
19. In the event of an error, howsoever caused, whether a printing error or otherwise and whether obvious or otherwise, which affects the competition in any way, the Promoter reserves the right to administer the raffle/lottery as though the error had not occurred. Where the Promoter deems it appropriate and/or feasible it will notify entrants of the error.
20. Failure to comply with any of these rules may result in the disqualification of the entry. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entry at their absolute discretion.
21. A refund will be given if duplicate payment was taken due to a UJIA   technical connection failure, where the refund hasn’t already been processed by bank transfer.
22. The UJIA raffle/lottery is subject to the laws of England and Wales.
23. The Promoter’s decision in all matters relating to the UJIA raffle is final.
