Jewish Identity

When we use the term “Jewish identity” in the context of programmes offered or supported by UJIA, we mean the religious/cultural identity of people who by birth or conversion are Jewish and which, in relation to those who are not active followers of the Jewish tradition, includes maintaining a connection with the Jewish faith.

Israel Engagement

The term Israel Engagement is used to describe projects run by or funded by the UJIA to enable Jewish children and young people from the UK to learn about the history and people of Israel either in the UK or by visiting Israel.

When we refer to Israel, we mean either the people of Israel or the UJIA’s charitable projects in the State of Israel.
