For the countless Israeli children who were victims of the atrocities of 7th October, this Chanukah will be a dark and difficult one.
The trauma they are suffering is unprecedented in Israel’s 75 year history and the psychological recovery will be slow and arduous. This Chanukah marks a dark and difficult period at what should be a time of light and joy.
With huge numbers of displaced people having to live far away from their homes, UJIA is working hard to support them as they face up to the ongoing trauma of the living nightmare they find themselves in.
For the many that need, we are providing psychological support. For others we are ensuring they have the basic necessities for their babies and toddlers. UJIA has set up day camps for primary school children, provided equipment for three pop-up secondary schools and much more.
