HaGal Sheli

UJIA is extremely proud to partner with HaGal Sheli (My Wave) to provide immediate, accessible, and high-quality mental health services to trauma survivors and at-risk populations across Israel.

ֿFor over a decade, HaGal Sheli has empowered 15,000 at-risk youth and trauma survivors across Israel, using surfing as a transformative therapeutic tool to foster resilience, personal growth, and success in overcoming life’s challenges.

After 7th October, HaGal Sheli expanded its trauma programme to serve 5,500 Israelis, including displaced families from the Western Negev and the North, Nova survivors, released hostages, and first responders. Our work aims to prevent the onset of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) amongst the most affected individuals. For this critical work, we were honoured with the President of Israel’s Volunteering Award.

Bridging the Mental Health Gap

Long wait times and strict eligibility requirements prevent thousands of Israelis from receiving the mental health support they urgently need.

HaGal Sheli’s “Tools from the Waves” Mental Health Expansion Project is closing this gap.

Your support ensures no one is left behind. Join us in making mental health care available to all.
