Yotam moved to Kiryat Shemona for a quiet, relaxing life. Far away from the busyness of the Centre. When his eldest son Itai was born three years ago, life was good. By the time his daughter, Na’ama arrived in early 2024, life was anything but. Yotam and his family were evacuated to Afula, which is where his wife and children still live today. But, Yotam’s work is in the North and so he goes for long periods without seeing them.

Itai misses his father. The stress and anxiety is so great that he often refuses to go to kindergarten. As the family prepare to be reunited this summer, UJIA is supporting them every step of the way. Through trauma relief, psychological support, educational needs and a whole lot more, UJIA is committed to all Israel’s displaced people, for as long as they need.
