Jewish Child’s Day Fund

UJIA is now hosting the JCD Fund.

Since the very first Jewish Child’s Day appeal in 1947, Jewish Child’s Day has existed with one clear purpose: to transform the lives of Jewish children in need, wherever they are.

Jewish Child’s Day (JCD) is entering a new chapter. To continue supporting the most vulnerable Jewish children long into the future – efficiently, responsibly, and sustainably – JCD has moved from an active, staffed charity to a dedicated Fund within UJIA.

This important change will maximise the impact of donations in the future to ensure they are allocated to children and projects that need it most – and deserve it most.

To administer these grants efficiently and professionally, JCD will work with UJIA, which will manage the process under the guidance of a dedicated Jewish Child’s Day Grant Committee. The JCD Grant committee will be established under the management of UJIA, and will contain both UJIA and JCD representatives.

Operating within UJIA, the JCD mission and values remain unchanged, and grants will continue to reach those who need them most.

Thank you for continuing to be a part of the JCD journey — and for helping ensure JCD’s impact continues long into the future.

Zvi Noé, Chair of UJIA

“The establishment of the Jewish Child’s Day Fund under UJIA’s management aligns closely with our mission and vision to empower young people in the UK and Israel. We must continue to play a meaningful role within the UK Jewish community, to ensure we maximise philanthropic funds and support a thriving Diaspora for future generations to come.”

Charles Spungin, Chairman of Jewish Child’s Day

“Jewish Child’s Day has made a huge impact since our founding, and this new chapter will ensure that all of our donations can reach the projects we support. We are delighted to be working with UJIA, with whom we have already collaborated on the garden at Kibbutz Be’eri kindergarten. Under this pragmatic collaboration, our donors can be confident that we can maximise our impact in supporting the most vulnerable of our community.”
